JAMMU, JANUARY 15
If all goes well , the students appearing in the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education will get results via SMS.
Education Minister Naeem Akhtar asked the BOSE officials to start text services for examination results, so that every individual student will be informed of his/her result through SMS. He also asked the officials to make a timeline for every service so that students will come to know in advance when his/her case will be disposed.
He said re-evaluation of answer papers should be strictly completed within 40 days and similar timeline should be fixed for migration and other services. He asked the officials to make use of technology and students should get most of his/her work done through the Board website. He directed the officials to switch over to online mode as soon as possible.
Regarding special scholarship schemes the Minister suggested that the BOSE should undertake massive publicity campaign so that deserving students and parents come to know about the schemes like Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme and National Talent Search exam.
