The strike in the Nowshera Town of district Rajouri has entered third day today in favour of their demand to declare Nowshera as new district.
The hilly town remained closed for the third consecutive day for granting district status. A protest rally was taken out in this regard by scores of locals including the members of Beopar Mandal, who was leading this agitation.
Hundreds of local residents and businessmen community today assembled in large numbers at Bus Stand here and raised slogan against state govt for not fulfilling their demand of granting district status to Nowshera, which it deserved.
It is worth mentioning that MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina from BJP and MLC Surinder Choudhary from PDP belonging to this constituency and now people have opened an agitation against ruling PDP-BJP coalition.
