SRINAGAR, August 7:

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday where he took stock of the security situation after the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories and withdrawal of special status to the state. The NSA interacted with the locals and also had food with them in South Kashmi’s Shopian. Doval ensured the locals that their safety and security is the responsibility of the Central government. He said the government wants a developed Kashmir where people have access to higher education and business opportunities.
