Leader of Opposition, Omar Abdullah today boycotted the reply of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on the Governor’s address in the Lower House.

As the members of opposition led by Omar Abdullah demanded reply from state government over the killing of a civilian in Kashmir. Parliamentary Affairs Minister, AR Veeri replied on behalf of government, but opposition demanded CM to reply in the House.

After staging walk-out from the assembly in question hour, the opposition members reached back in the zero hour and sought reply from the Government.

They again staged protest in the Well amid slogans. Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Veeri said that the civilian killed in security forces firing was innocent and the matter is under investigation.

Not satisfied with the reply, NC leader Omar Abdullah said that they are not satisfied with the reply and sought reply from the CM over the issue.

Omar said, “It would have been better that she had attended the House and uttered few words over incident rather than issuing statements in the media. So now I have decided not to be present in the House during CM’s reply.”
