Srinagar, April 6

Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah  haa mocked at the  aeparatists  in  Kashmir for being selective  in giving shutdown calls and wondered why there  was no  call for “ peaceful protests” over the killing of Manzoor Ahmad  at the hands of militants .

Manzoor’s decpacitated body was found  in the orchards of Hajin  in bandipore distruct in north Kashmir on Friday. He was abducted on the intervening night of April 4 and 5 from his home in Hajin.

Omar tweeted : “ Any shutdown call or call for “ peacefful protests” for Manzoor Ahmad  who’s decapitated body was found in   North Kashmir after he’d been abducted and and killed by militants ? No ? I am not surprised.”

The separatists had given a shutdown call for four days after 13 terrorists were killed in encounters in Anantnag and Shopian districts of South Kashmir  on April 1 .

He also  mocked at the terminology of “ unknown  gunmen “ used for terrorists by separatists in such cases . He tweeted : “The “unknown gunmen” are conveniently termed to give cover to those who don’t want to/cant criticise terrorist crimes.”

He also wondered : What happens to “ Kashmir solidarity “ and wanna be Imran Khans  when people like Manzoor are inhumanely butchered ? It’s so easy to flow with the tide , much tougher to swim against it.
