Jammu, January 10 Entire opposition Thursday staged a walk out from the state legislative Assembly in Jammu after staging a noisy protest against the government over what it called its failure to make the “ administrative units functional.”
The National Conference and Congress MLAs raised this issue at the start of the morning sitting when they demanded to know from the government that why there has been delay of more than three years in making the administrative units functional across the state.
The previous Congress-National Conference government headed by Omar Abdullah had created nearly 650 units across the state to make administration more accessible to the people of the state. But not even a single step was taken by the PDP-BJP government to make the administrative units work.
However, it is also worthwhile to mention that opposition too never raised this issue during the past three years of this government.
