The national highway and infrastructure development corporation Limited (NHIDCL) was incorporated on 18th july 2014 as public sector undertaking under companies act 2013 under Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of india with objective to pace construction of Nationa Highways and other infrastructure in northeastrn regions and strategic areas of india which share international boundries .NHIDCL Jammu has been entrusted many important projects like Zojila tunnel ,Zmorh tunnel ,4 lanning of Jammu- Akhnoor road , 2 lanning of Chenani – Sudhmahadev road in the state of J&K.NHIDCL also carries out maintenance work including slide and snow clearance work on various strategic routes like Batote – kishtwar- Anantnag route to ensure round the year connectivity with the main stream development.
On the eve of 4th Inception day of NHIDCL, Branch Office Jammu had organized a painting and drawing Competition in Kendriya Vidyalaya School 1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu on 06/07/2018 to spread awareness among students in which 200 students actively participated on theme of Swatch Bharat, Traffic Rules and my Vision of Good Road. The Event was supervised in the presence of Mr. M.G. Vijay Kumar, General Manager (P), NHIDCL and Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Manager(F), NHIDCL along with School Teachers and staff. Stationary kit (Crayons, sheets, pencil etc.) followed by refreshments to all students and staff were provided by NHIDCL Jammu . The event was organized successfully.
Further, a CSR event of Free eye screening cum testing Camp in association with Sachdeva netraylay was organized at fruit mandi Narwal , jammu on 07/07/2018. Total 128 persons got their eyes checked and were provided free different medicines and eye drops.
