The Jammu and Kashmir police have identified all the four suspects involved in the high profile assassination of Editor-in-Chief of a local English daily Shujaat Bukhari on June 14 in press enclave , Srinagar on June 14 , pointing out Pakistan as the land of conspiracy and the executioners being the Lashkar-e-Toiba hands in Kashmir Valley.
At a crowded press conference , I G P , Kashmir S P Pani, said that one of the accused and the main conspirator Sajjad Gul, a Kashmiri now based in Pakistan , was among the conspirators to assassinate Shujjat . He said that this was an act of terror .
The police also identified three other accused, who had killed the scribe , one of them being Naveed Jatt, a Pakistani who had escaped from police custody in February this year after killing the two policemen who were escorting him to the hospital.
According to the police the other accused are: Muzaffar Ahmad , @ Talha resident of Sopat, Qazigund, and Aijaz Ahmad Malik of Bijebehra , Anantnag .
