Jammu, February 17:
Following its campaign against drug addiction, Rajouri police today organised an awareness camp for students on side effects of drugs.

The said awareness programme was organised in Himalayan College of Himalayan Education Mission located in Thandikassi area of Rajouri town on the directions of SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas and a police team headed by DySP HQrs Rajouri, Jaswant Singh chaired it.

Hundreds of college students, especially teenagers, took part in this awareness programme and police officer discussed in length about the ill-effects of drugs and made students aware about effects of drugs on addicted individual as well as his whole family and society.

Students were also made aware about different aspects of NDPS Act which exclusively deals with drugs related cases.

Police officer also appealed students and staff members present there to play role in Anti Drugs Drive of Rajouri Police and to share timely feedback for further tightening the noose against people involved in peddling.

Among others, Incharge Police Post Rajouri City, SI Danish Maqbool, educationist Saleem Wani, College Principal  Chowhan and staff members of college were present on the occasion.
