Jammu, March 21:
Following death of a young woman allegedly due to negligence of doctors at Government Hospital in Vijaypur, police have called both the doctors involved in the case for questioning on Thursday.
Earlier, hundreds of people from Vijaypur, which blocked the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway for over an hour were only agreed to disperse after assurance from civil administration and police that investigation will be done in the case of alleged negligence, which led to the demise of the woman.
The deceased Seema Devi wife of Kuldeep Raj of Chack Ram Chand of Samba was admitted for her family planning operation at Vijaypur Emergency Hospital on Tuesday.
Police sources informed that Dr Anshu Charak and Dr Vishal Mahajan, who operated the woman, were called for questioning and police also seized the file and documents of the surgery of the victim. A case under section 174 CrPC (Inquest Proceedings) has been registered at police station Vijaypur.
