The Centre has directed the security forces operating in Jammu and Kashmir to go all out against armed militants, over ground workers and their sympathisers in a  renewed  hardened policy towards militants in the State.

The highly placed sources told JK News Today that the State Governor’s administration under Satya Pal Malik  will show no leniency should be shown to the militants and  over ground workers irrespective of the consequences . The latest instructions that the  state police have got is that there “ should be a zero tolerance towards militancy,” a senior police officer  manning the affairs of anti-militancy operations in Kashmir Valley told  JKNT  on Saturday.

“ How long can we live with this menace of militancy in Kashmir ,” said the officer who has been instrumental during the past 30 years in fighting militancy in the hotbeds of South Kashmir, when the whole of  South Kashmir  was one district., Baramullah and  also as the  police chief of the Valley.

The officer said that the thrust would be on launching more aggressive operations against militancy  and their supporters . “ There is no alternative  to this,” said  the officer  who is leading the anti-militancy operations in the Sate .
