Defence Minister Rajnath Singh concluded his two-day visit of Ladakh and Kashmir on Saturday with a clarion call for 24X7 vigil on borders and the nation’s indebtedness to the brave soldiers defending frontiers amidst all adversities .

He visited the forward areas along the LAC in Ladakh, and LoC in the Valley to deliver the message of a high-degree of solidarity with the forces deployed on the borders and prayed for the greatness of the nation at the cave shrine of Lod Shiva, better known as Amarnath up in the Himalayas in south Kashmir.

The visit of Rajnath Singh was significant for a number of reasons ; he visited the frontier locations along the border with China and Pakistan occupied Kashmir , thus conveying an unmistakable message that the political and military leadership of the country is on the same strategic page to defeat the designs of the adversary.

Chinese troops have intruded at some of the places in eastern Ladakh- Galwan Valley , hot springs and Pangong Tso. That has created a very tense situation in the region as Chinese have shown their unpredictability time and again . This time , when they tried to overstep in Galwan Valley, they were meted out an unimaginably high casualty treatment – the reason China is silent on the number of deaths and injuries its soldiers suffered in the Himalayan heights. India lost 20 of its soldiers , but the sacrifice of each one of them was acknowledged by the nation with extreme gratitude in keeping with the traditions of honuring its martyrs. Its brave hearts never go unsung.

At Line of Control, Pakistan has intensified the cross-border shelling , killing civilians. Only yesterday evening shelling from across the LoC killed three members of a family in Poonch district .

Rajnath Singh as defence minister of the country was both at LAC and LoC to demonstrate that how the Indian leaders are always with their men on the borders in all weather conditions and at all times.

Second, Rajnath Singh echoed what all Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stated on July 3 from Ladakh that India would not cede even an inch of its land . That was that something that was meant for ears of Beijing and Islamabad .

Prime Minister Modi has given a direction to the nation that how the things are carried out in the difficult times .
