Jammu, Febraury 05: Reiterating the demand of restoration of reservation in promotion for the employees of various reserved categories, Jammu Kashmir reserved categories empowerment alliance (JKRCEA), in a one day convention here today, have expressed their full hope of an early resolution by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti as she had assured them.

JKRCEA, a conglomerate of socio-religious organisations, forum of retired SCs/STs/OBCs employees, associations of Youth & Students and women from amongst Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other backward classes, met her under the leadership of Bhushan Dogra, Vice Chairman, State Advisory Board for the development of Scheduled Castes. On this occasion, the participants have also appealed legislators of all the political parties who are either in the govt. or in opposition to objectively support this genuine & just demand of marginalised sections of the society.

Dr. Sanjay Bhasin, president of JKRCEA, while addressing the convention said that JKRCEA has been able to put forth before the state govt. the demand of restoration of reservation in promotion and in this context, he told, a delegation on 15th January apprised Mehbooba Mufti about this issue who assured them to look into the issue.

Dr. Zabeer Ahmed Bajjar, General Secretary of JKRCEA said that political solution is the only way out to settle the  issue of restoration of reservation in promotion which is a sensitive socio-political affair confronting more than 60% of the population of J&K State.
