The Government on Friday said that it has released an amount of Rs 65.31 crore as “structure compensation” to effected families falling in the alignment of the roads under PMGSY and R&B in Gool-Arnas and Gulabgarh constituencies.

Responding to a calling attention notice by Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on behalf of the Minister for Works, said that out of the total amount of Rs 95.79 crore, an amount of Rs 65.31 crore has been disbursed to the affected families of Thuroo, Gool, Arnas, Thakrakote and Mahore Tehsils who were affected due to construction of roads by R&B and PMGSY.

He said Rs 33.03 crore is already available with the concerned Revenue Collector which is expected to be disbursed after the completion of land acquisition process.

The Minister said that the compensation of all the structures falling in the alignment of the roads in Gool-Arnas and Gulabgarh constituencies is being paid after due process of assessment by the competent authority and title verification from revenue authorities.

He further informed that in case of PMGSY, though the funds for compensation remain available, but the mandatory assessment and scrutiny process of Revenue papers and land acquisition process are to be followed before disbursing the compensation.
