Jammu, Febraury 07: State Legislative Assembly today witnessed noisy scenes and strong protest against the CAPD Minister Choudhay Zulfikar Ali over the issue of allotment of fair price shop.
Even Leader of Opposition, Omar Abdullah expressed his concern and asked CAPD Minister to cancel all the allotments which were allegedly given through backdoor entry.
But the Minister Zulfikar Ali said that previous allotments cannot be cancel because they were issued under a fixed procedure.
Following the reply, opposition got  angry and strongly protested and NC, Congress and even BJP MLAs stood on the issue. The opposition members to started their protest and shouting slogans.
Revenue Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri tried to intervene and asked the opposition members to return back to their seats.
Inthe meantime, Mohammed Yusaf Tarigami also expressed his resentment and said there should be a discussion on allotments of fair price shops in which MLA were not taken into confidence. Facing criticism from all the members of opposition including Omar Abdullah, the CAPD Minister got up and again assured the department will issue a circular that without consulting MLAs no allotment of fair price shop will be done.
But his assurance failed to calm down the tempers.
To save their party minister from opposition, MLA Javed Beig also stood up and said if we will discuss things of past govt’s then many things will come up. As soon as he said this the  opposition MLA Mian Altaf, Ali Mohammed Sagar and Abdul Majid Larmi entered into heated arguments with ruling MLA Javed Being.
Meanwhile, Veeri assured the opposition especially Omar Abdullah their concerns will be taken into consideration.
