SAMBA APRIL 13:
A joint inspection team comprising of Assistant Commissioner Legal Metrology, designated officer Food Safety and officers of FCS&CA Department today conducted market inspection at Samba and issued warning against overcharging and using unfair trade practices.
During the inspection Rajesh Heera, Assistant Commissioner, Legal Meteorological Dept, Samba, Rajesh Kapoor designated officer Food Safety and officers from FCS&CA Department besides other officials were also present.
It was informed that the inspection was aimed to check the overcharging and quality related issues of various items. Shopkeepers were directed to prominently display rate lists and keep shop neat and clean. They were also directed to deliver commodities to the consumers properly in respect of rate, weight and display MRP, packing date, complete address of manufacturer/packer with consumer care number on the commodities sold in packaged form.
The team has also warned the traders to desist from using unfair trade practices and also appealed to the consumers to remain vigilant while purchasing the commodities.
