The government has ordered extension of winter vacations in schools in summer zone of Jammu region up to 18th January due to harsh winter conditions.
The order issued by Education Department reads, “In view of prevailing climatic conditions in Jammu division, the winter vacation of Government/Private Recognised Schools functioning in summer zone of Jammu division is extended upto 18.01.2017.”
It further reads, “Any default on part of Private School(s) in observance of winter vacations so authorised shall attract action under rules.”
