Security forces foil attempt of revival of terrorism in south of Peer Panjal range

Combined efforts of Indian Army (Rashtriya Rifles) and J&K Police in Gool, Ramban under Counter Insurgency Force Uniform delivered a major setback to terrorist outfit in their efforts to revive terrorism South of Pir Panjal Range.

Based on specific intelligence inputs, Security Forces conducted an operation in village Harah of Gool Tehsil during early hours on 13 May 19. During the operation the Security Forces apprehended two suspected terrorist and recovered one AK-47 assault rifle with ammunition, personal items and cash worth Rs. 8871/- from their possession.

Both individuals belong to South Kashmir and are in their teens. Sources confirmed that both intended to join terrorist cadre of Lashkar e Toiba. The timely apprehension of suspected terrorists and recovery of war like stores has thwarted the nefarious design of terrorist organization to spread the “Arc of Terrorism” South of Pir Panjal Range.
