Security Forces in bordering Samba and Kathua area are on high-alert after inputs that anti-national elements may attempt to strike at Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
Sources informed that there are general inputs that terrorists may try to infiltrate from International Border and then target some security installation at National Highway, like they had done in the previous years.
Following such inputs shared by intelligence agencies, Jammu and Kashmir Police, army and other security forces has put their men and machinery on high alert.
A senior police officer confirmed that alert has been sounded, but added that nothing is specific and it is general alert.
