First Kashmiri  IAS topper  Shah Faesal has quit the IAS  citing the intolerance  in the country and “ unabated killings” in Kashmir  as the reasons for his decision that was  seen as coming for the  last few months.

Shah Faesal who was hailed as a new hope and inspiration for the youth of Kashmir diverting them to the idea of India and opportunities in the country where Kashmiris could compete and win in equal measure , on Wednesday  came out with the announcement of his resignation  on social media . In his announcement, he indicted the hyper nationalism” and “ Hindutuva forces”  for destroying the institutions in the country.

He is to make announcement of his future plans on Friday.

It is expected that he would join National Conference and may contest Lok Sabha polls.
