Rajinikanth has politely declined to dub for Aamir Khan’s Dangal…
Aamir Khan‘s Dangal is one of the most exciting films of this year and anybody would love to associate with the movie. However, looks like South Superstar Rajinikanth does not want anything to do with the film. Yes, Aamir Khan recently held a special screening of the movie for Rajinikanth in Chennai. Aamir also requested the superstar to dub for his character in the Tamil version of Dangal. But Rajinikanth politely said, Illai (No) and turned him down. Shocking na?
Well, it’s true! Haricharan Pudipeddi, entertainment journalist for IANS, revealed about this news on Twitter. He had tweeted, “#AamirKhan screened #Dangal for #Rajinikanth and requested him to dub for his char in the Tamil version. The latter politely turned down.”
For those of you who don’t know, Aamir’s Dangal is releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across India. For the Tamil version, he wanted Rajinikanth to dub, to give the film a bigger push in the South market. However, looks like he will have to get some other actor or artiste to dub for the film now. Aamir plays the role of former wrestler Mahavir Phogat in Dangal. After failing to win a gold in wrestling, Aamir will be seen training his onscreen daughters – Fatima Sana Shaikh (Geeta Phogat) and Sanya Malhotra (Babita Kumari) to fulfill his wish. But will they be able to? Well, we will have to wait and watch that…
Anyway, coming back to Rajinikanth’s apparent snub, let us reveal to you that Aamir Khan was also approached for Rajinikanth’s 2.o but he had reportedly declined. Later on, Akshay Kumar took up the part. So has Rajinikanth kept that in mind and declined Aamir’s offer or did he have any other commitments? Well, only Rajinikanth can answer this.
