Srinagar, May 5:
Gunmen on Saturday morning shot dead a special police officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that gunmen fired at Showkat Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ahsan Dar, near Petrol pump at Rahmoo village at around 9;35 am.
He was rushed to district hospital Pulwama where he was declared dead on arrival.
Soon after the incident, a joint team of forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants, they said.
