Jammu, February 20 Srinagar-based entrepreneur and businesswoman Tabish Habib has been invited to the United States for a fellowship organised for the Indian women entrepreneurs.

Habib, owner of Prism Creationz, a company providing branding, marketing and printing services in Kashmir, and founder of Kashmir’s first shared officer space, ThinkPod Business Incubation, has been nominated for ‘International Visitor Leadership Program’ (IVLP) for a three-week programme entitled “Indian Women Entrepreneurs as Drivers of Economic Growth” from February 26 to March 16, 2018,

The IVLP was first established in 1940, and is one of the US Government’s most prestigious professional exchange programs for international opinion leaders.

“This program will illustrate the impact of women-owned small businesses on the US economy. You will discuss the social, economic and political factors that influence and encourage the development of women as entrepreneurs, owners or managers of small, medium and large businesses,” reads the letter sent to Habib by the US Embassy in New Delhi. “Various initiatives that facilitate women entrepreneurs’ access to business capital and other resources will be showcased. You will also be exposed to social, economic and political factors that influence and encourage the development of private enterprise in the US.”

The programme is fully sponsored by the US Department of State and will cover all costs.  ( Courtesy Greater Kashmir)
