Srinagar, March 17:
Militants made an attempt on the life of the SSP, Shopian district in South Kashmir on Saturday, but he escaped unhurt in the volley of gunfire directed at him and his cavalcade.
Militants intercepted the movement of SSP Shopian Shriram Ambdar at Herman in Shopian . The fire was intense. It was retaliated by policemen escorting him.
There was no immediate report of loss of life and property in this exchange of fire.
