Jammu, Feb 06: The BJP-PDP Govt today opposed the bill on the much-popular Machail Mata Yatra in Jammu region.
As the Bill was moved by BJP MLA RS Pathania and it was also supported by NC MLA Devender Rana and Independent MLA Pawan Gupta.
MLA Devender Rana said that it is a genuine bill and can be introduced and discuss. He added that lakhs of people every year from Jammu and outside state visited Machail Mata temple at Paddar in Kishtwar district and even MoS Tourism Priya Sethi is among those who has flagged off this yatra, so the time has come when all members above party lines should discuss the arrangements of yatra.
But, Minister of State for Tourism, Priya Sethi stood and opposed the Private Member Bill moved by BJP MLA Ramnagar, RS Pathania on the better management, administration and governance of Chandi Mata Machail Dham for upgradation of facilities.
Meanwhile, Devender Rana and Pawan Gupta staged walk-out of the House in protest against the opposition of the bill by State Government.
