Minister reviews progress of renovation works

JAMMU, MARCH 12:

Minister for Tourism Tassaduq Hussain Mufti today convened a meeting of officers to review the statues of various development works being executed by different agencies to make Kashmir Golf Course functional.

The Minister was informed that the development work of the Golf Course is in full swing to develop the places as one of the best destination, besides catering to its basic objective of promoting Golf in the State.

Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank Parvez Ahmed, Secretary Tourism Sarmad Hafeez and other concerned officers were also present in the meeting.

It was given out that the Golf Course will be made fully functional in June 2018 and the concerned agencies are taking care of all requirements to meet the requirements in bringing it upto international golf standards.

The Minister was informed the department is taking measures to install better electric supply, water pumping system and drainage, besides tackling the issues of ball flight by creating better fairways.

The Minister directed for expediting the pending works to make the Golf Course functional within the set deadline, besides stressing for maintain its rich habitat, diverse flora and fauna existing in the Course.

Mufti directed for speeding up the installation of fancying of the Golf Course, besides taking care of its maintenance, landscape, plantation, and drainage and sanitation for the convenience of the golfers and the people visiting the place.

He directed the officers to synergize their efforts so that the requisite results are achieved within the stipulated timeframe and also get necessary feedback about the status of work and implementation of various initiatives on the ground.

The Minister sought coordination and cooperation among departments so that target achieving mechanism can be initiated. He also stressed upon concerned officials to work in synergy and enthusiasm to achieve tangible results on ground.

He also directed that the staff service conditions of the Golf Course should also be improved so that they could serve the in a more professional manner.
