JAMMU, DECEMBER 11:

Director Tourism, Jammu Deepika K Sharma today convened a meeting with the senior officers and local stakeholders for conducting a promotional campaign to project J&K as top tourist destination in different countries/cities through road shows.
She informed the stakeholders about the circuits wherein the road shows are being planned in the coming months including Ahmedabad-Surat-Baroda, Lucknow-Varanasi-Patna-Ranchi, Bangalore-Mysore, Chennai-Kochi, Mumbai-Pune-Nasik, Nagpur-Indore-Bhopal, Kolkata-Bhubeneshwar-Puri at domestic level and Thailand-Bangladesh-Indonesia, Dubai-Sharjah-Abu Dabi, Jeddah-Reyadh at International Level.
All the members made consensus that more activities should be undertaken so as to accrue maximum benefit for promotion of tourism in general and industry in particular.
It was also decided that the road shows would include business to business interactions, business to consumer interfaces, press conferences, invitees to leading travel and trade fraternity of the visiting city etc. she also asked the stakeholders to come up with more innovative ideas that could be reflected during organizing such road shows.
She asked all the stakeholders to make a core team constituting of members from different organizations working in the field of tourism in Jammu division so that all the sectors/regions have due representation and could synergize their efforts towards working for a single goal i.e. promotion of Jammu Tourism.
