A traffic cop was killed today when hit by a speeding truck at Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Udhampur.
The cop, who was on traffic management duty on Friday when a speeding truck on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur District hit him and he died, said the Police.
“One @Traffic_hqrs cop succumbed to injuries after being seriously injured by a speeding truck at Thanda Padder, on NHW Bypass,” state police’s official tweeter handler said.
A Police official identified deceased as a Special police officer (SPO) Nazir Ahmad resident of Udhampur. He said that the truck has been seized and driver arrested.
