Violent protests erupted at Narian area at Jammu-Rajouri Highway in the bordering Rajouri district after local residents set ablaze a truck carrying bovines.
Protesting residents blocked the highway since last 4 hours and staged a strong protest against police and local administration that they have failed to stop bovine smuggling in the district, which is alleged route of bovine smuggling to Kashmir from Jammu region.
SSP Rajouri, Rajeshwar Singh reached the spot and assured action against the accused behind this act.
Protest were continued till last news came in.
