Srinagar, January 27:

At least two civilians were killed and nearly a dozen others injured when they were allegedly fired upon by the security forces in a village in outh Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.

It was not  known immediately  as to what led to this unfortunate incident .

Reports reaching here said that a large group of protestors hurled stones at the army convoy  when it  happened to pass through Ganawpora wara village where the youth had taken to streets to protest against the killing of militants on Wednesday .

The  army allegedly opened fire  in which nearly a dozen youth were injured . Two of them succumbed to injuries.

Intense clashes are going on in the  area.
