Upgrade Saryara Movement (USM) on Sunday felicitated over 70 students of Saryara community at a function organised here at Mahatma Atma Ram Sidh ji Community Hall, Bahu Fort.
As per USM spokesperson, President Saryara Sabha , Bahadur Lal Dalotra was chief guest , General Secretary Manahor Lal was guest of honour, president USM Moti Ram Shavotra presided over the function while Chief Patron Inderjeet Shavotra and General Secretary Chandan Dalotra shared the presidium.
The students and youth who excelled in the field of academic and sports hailing from various areas of including Bahu Fort, Rehari, Paloura, Butta Nagar, Jani Pur, Barn, Kot-Bhalwal, Jandyal, Rayaa, Sujani, Barodi, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi presented in the function.
The proceeding of day commenced with floral tribute to Mahatma Shri Atma Ram Sidh by dignitaries followed by welcome address by Inderjeet Shavotra.
Inderjeet highlighted the activities of USM and informed that the group has started free counseling of students besides coaching classes for competitive examination for under graduate and graduate level students.
According to USM spokespersons, most of the awardees belong to poor economical background, whose annual parental income was less than Rs 50,000.
Earlier, Mulkh Raj, Dewan Chand, Pritam Chand, Ricky Dalotra, Subash Chnader , Ram Lal Sagotra, Ramesh Chander others spoke on importance of education.
The proceeding of the function was conducted by Ranjeet Sagotra, who also presented Vote of Thanks.
Om Parkesh Dalotra , Subash Chander Shavotra, Amit Chalotra, Neeraj Shavotra , Rahul , Virinder, Arjun, Karan, Yogesh were also presented on the occasion.
