SRINAGAR, MAY 28:

Various delegations on Monday called on Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari   and apprised him about various issues to seek early redressal of their grievances.

A delegation of All Jammu and Kashmir Government Pharmacist Association lead by Sheikh Mehraj-ud-Din raised the issue of stagnation of pharmacists and demanded up-gradation of left out pharmacists who were left during re-organization of pharmacists who are stagnant for the last 27 years. They also demanded sanctioning of technical grades in favor of these pharmacists to avoid the stagnation on the analogy of sanitary inspectors of Health Department.

State Goods Transports Companies Association also called on the minister and apprised him about various issues they are facing while transporting goods to the state. They appealed to streamline the checking process at Lower Munda and Lakhanpur by excise and other concerned departments.

Representatives of GEG Skill Developers also called on the minister and informed him about the services provided by them with regard to the enhancement of skills to the work force. A delegation of Employees Joint Action Committee also called on the minister and raised many issues of the employees.

Minister gave patient hearing to all the visiting delegations and assured them that the government is committed to provide good governance and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. The meetings were also attended by Principal Secretary Finance Navin Kumar Chaudhary, Commissioner Secretary Finance Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, Labour Commissioner Bashir Ahmad Khan.
