We told you Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will move to the energetic beats of Tamma Tamma from Thanedaar which starred Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt. The song will be seen in Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Varun shared the first glimpse of the same with a note that’s everything we believe about remaking old songs. He writes, “#Tammatamma 2.0. #badrinathkidhulania. Something’s never change some songs never die,” and we wholeheartedly believe that. But we think no one else could have done a better job than them to recreate the magic of this song.

Speaking to a leading daily, Tanishk Baagchi, who composed the song, had said, “We have retained the original voices of Bappi Lahiri and Anuradha Paudwal but also added Badshah and a bit of rap. It’s a peppy dance track with the music slightly altered to suit current trends.” Varun and Alia just shared a picture from the set which has their backs to the camera while a scene from the original song can been seen in front of them. This is a perfect tease of a song we are desperately waiting for. Varun is known for his awesome dancing skills and Alia has often matched up to his energy on the dance floor in many films. This will be just fab. Check out Varun’s tweet and you will know what we are saying.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a sequel to the hit Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and is shot in Singapore, Mumbai, Jhansi, and Kota. While speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Varun had spoken about the film saying, “This story begins with certain hardships the couple face before their love blossoms in Singapore.”

Interestingly, another version of Tamma Tamma has been filmed on Vidyut Jamwal and Adah Sharma for their film Commando 2. It was reported that earlier the makers of the film wanted to remake AR Rahman’s Hamma Hamma from Bombay for their film. But when they couldn’t get the rights of the song, they decided to go with Tamma Tamma. In fact, they even wore the same costume that by Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit wore in the original track and will be seen doing the same dance steps.

And guess what? Both the films are releasing one after the other in March. Fight for the same song…interesting! After all, 90s songs are nothing but gems. No wonder every other film has one from that decade!
