Veteran journalist and founder secretary general of the Press Club of Jammu, Anil Sharma today passed away after prolonged illness.
In a condolence meeting held here today in the Club premises, the members of the Managing Committee and several senior members of the Press Club of Jammu expressed their profound shock and grief over the sad and untimely demise of a veteran journalist, Anil Sharma.
While speaking on the occasion the President and the Secretary General, of the Press Club, recalled the services of Anil Sharma, as a founder Secretary General of the Club from 1995 to 1996 and as a veteran journalist in the field of journalism. Paying the tributes to the departed soul, a two minutes silence was observed by the members. They also prayed almighty to bestow eternal peace on the noble soul.
Those who attended the condolence meeting included, Ashwani Kumar, President, Press Club of Jammu, Abhimanyu Sharma, Vice President, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Secretary General, Dinesh Manhotra, Treasurer and Former President of the Press Club of Jammu Mr. Manu Shrivatsa, all executive members of the Committee and a large number of members of the club.
