Water rising in Kashmir rivers and Nallahs, No need to Panic : Met

The water is rising in Jhelum and its tributaries due to heavy rains in valley. The water levels are :

The Gauge Reading at 9 am (0900 hrs) April 06, 2017

A – RIVER JHELUM
i. Sangam = 16.50 ft
ii. Ram Munshibagh = 13.90 ft
iii. Asham = 8.50 ft

B – TRIBUTARIES
i. Vishow Nallah at Khudwani = 7.71 m
ii. Rambiyara Nallah at Vachi = 1.58 m
iii. Lidder Nallah at Batkoot = 0.88 m
Flash.  *No need to panic*

Gradual  decrease  in rain n snow  will occur from this afternoon  and complete  improvement  from 7th April, told Sonam Lotus , Director Meteorological Department of Jammu and Kashmir. He added that there was no need to panic.
