UNITED NATIONS, August 2:

The World Health Organisation (WHO) warned on Sunday that the fight against the coronavirus pandemic would be lengthy one and could lead to “response fatigue”, as countries with high population especially in Asia report record rise in new cases in recent days.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus epidemic a global emergency some six months ago and since then the novel coronavirus also known as COVID-19 has killed more than 680,000 people and infected more than 17.5 million around the world. While most countries in the world has been hit by the COVID pandemic, it is the particularly the countries of Asia which is causing concern for the world health body. (AGENCIES)
