Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray Jammu and Kashmir unit today paid tributes to party founder and Hindu Hridya Samrat , Bala Saheb Thackeray on his memorial day and distributed food among poor and helpless people.


In a tribute function held at the party office, Jammu, Siva Saniks paid homage to Party’s Founder Bala Saheb Thackeray on his death anniversary.


Paying tribute, Manish Sahni, Party’s President of J&K said that Bala Saheb Thackeray is not physically among us today, but his thoughts and policies are alive and will always be with us.
Sahni said the 86-year-old Hindu heart emperor breathed his last on November 17, 2012 at his Matushree residence in Mumbai. He said that Bala Saheb Thackeray was so concerned about the common mind and country. He wrote in his editorial a few days before his death.


“Nowadays my condition is worrisome but the condition of my country is more worrisome than me, how can I sit silent in such a situation?” Sahni said, adding that Bala Saheb Thackeray had also raised his voice for the implementation of the Indian Constitution and the mark in Jammu and Kashmir and that the fearlessness of Bala Saheb Thackeray cannot be called at the temple of Shri Ram Lala in Ayodhya.


Born on 23 January, 1926 at Keshav Sitaram Thackeray in Pune, Balasaheb Thackeray started his life as a cartoonist. In 1966, he founded a Hindu Maharashtrian organization called Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. In 1995 Shiv Sena formed its first government in Maharashtra.


“Balasaheb gave the message of self-respect to all of us. Thackeray was the only person with a 21-Gun salute in his last visit despite having no official and political position,” he said.


On the occasion, President Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, working president Ashwani Gupta, Secretary Raj Singh, Balwant Singh, Joint Secretary Raju Salaria , Sanjeev Sudan , Bhuri Singh, Geeta Rani , Mamta Devi , Sushil Kumar , Labba Ram , Dimple , Jaganath , Rajesh Handa and many other were present.
