Team Jammu slams attempts to defame Maharaja Hari Singh

Slamming the Kashmir based forces attempting to portray Maharaja Hari Singh in bad light, Team Jammu Chairman Zorawar Singh Jamwal today announced a forced ban on entry of such unscrupulous elements on the land of Dogras.
“Patriotic Jammuites in general and Team Jammu members in particular will not allow such anti-Dogra elements to enter into this side of Jawahar Tunnel and the Government administration will be responsible for any untoward incident if any attempt is made to violate this ban,” asserted Zorawar Singh Jamwal in a hard hitting speech while chairing the meeting of volunteers of Team Jammu at its headquarters, here today.
Taking serious cognizance of some unwanted utterances of Kashmiri leaders against Maharaja Hari Singh, the Team Jammu chief stressed that people of Duggar land, who made supreme sacrifices for foundation of J&K State and extending its boundaries up to Tibbet and China, would never tolerate any attempt to defame the Maharaja.
“Maharaja Hari Singh was not only last ruler of undivided Jammu Kashmir State but pride of Dogras and symbol of nationalism, who did a lot for the welfare of his people without discriminating them on the basis of caste, colour or creed,” he said adding that an derogatory remark against the Maharaja is not only an insult to the erstwhile ruler but entire Dogra community as well as the nationalist forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Those allergic to the Maharaja because of his Dogra origin, are not only anti-Dogra but anti-nationals playing in the hands of enemy across the border. Team Jammu will teach a befitting lesson to such elements and not allow them to play with the sentiments of nationalists,” he said and also appealed the Government to book such Kashmiri leaders and put them behind the bars for peace in the State.
Zorawar Singh also lambasted those Jammu based leaders not agitating against such anti-national Kashmiri elements and announced that such forces would also be exposed by the nationalist people of Duggar land.
The Team Jammu chief also reiterated the demand of declaring Gazetted holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, which falls on September 23. “It is the time when Governor Satya Pal Malik should honour the sentiments of nationalist people and give due respect to the Maharaja who acceded J&K with the Indian Union,” Zorawar Jamwal stressed.
