On the occasion of ‘National Mathematics Day’, as part of talent promotion, the Indian Army conducted a ‘Mathematics Competition’ for students of Jawahar Navodya Vidhyalaya, Kotranka on 24 December 18.
The event was organised with the aim to encourage young students to understand the importance of mathematics as a subject and also to create an opportunity to identify hidden Mathematics Geniuses. Students actively participated in the event and the teachers also pitched-in with their valuable suggestions and boosted the morale of the participants. The enthusiasm and preparation of students for the event was creditable. A total of 70 students including girls participated in the event. Attractive prizes were given to the deserving participants.
On behalf of the students, the Principal of the school expressed his gratitude towards the Army for conducting such informative and motivational event.
