Jammu, April 21:
Pakistan had resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in Sunderbani sector on 17 April 2018. During the exchange of fire, Havildar Charanjeet Singh sustained grievous bullet injuries. He was immediately evacuated and provided intensive medical care in Military Hospitals.
However despite all efforts the gallant soldier succumbed to his injuries in the early hours yesterday morning .
Havildar Charanjeet Singh ,aged 42 years belonged to
Village. Kalsian
Tehsil Naoshera,
District Rajouri , is survived by his wife Smt Neelam Kumari.
Havildar Charanjeet Singh was a brave and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.
The mortal remains are being brought to his native village wherein he will be bid farewell with full military honours.
