Two Army officials were killed as Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district Friday, an official said.

There was an unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the Keran sector at 11.55 am.

Two junior commissioned officers (JCOs) lost their lives when Pakistan violated the ceasefire in the Keran sector. The deceased soldiers were identified as Subedar Gamar Thapa and Subedar Raman Thapa.

He said the Indian Army responded to the ceasefire violation effectively.

Two junior commissioned officer (JCO) were killed in the firing and another succumbed to injuries later at a medical facility, an Army official said
