Ghulam Ahmad Dar, Deputy Commissioner Shopian has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner Kupwara , the post that was lying vacant almost for a month because of the dilly-dallying tactics of the PDP-BJP government.
The government had shifted Rajeev Ranjan last month to Chief Minister’s office as additional secretary tribal affairs.
Rajeev was replaced by Bashir Ahmad Dar, special secretary in CM’s office, but he never joined as Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara as it became apparent than the basic idea was to shift Rajeev and to promote Additional D C, Kupwara to the post of Deputy Commissioner . Since there were senior officers than Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara working in the district, it was an untenable proposition.
It became further clear today in the General Administration Department’s order wherein it has been stated that Bashir Dar will continue to work as special secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Meanwhile M Raju, IAS of 2005 batch has been posted as special secretary Finance, while Manzoor Ahmad Qadri , Deputy Commissioner Budgam has been posted as Deputy Commissioner Shopian. But who would be Deputy Commissioner Budgam has not been notified as yet.
