Demanding district status, hundreds of local residents of Nowshera today once again lodged massive protest at Jammu-Poonch Highway.
It is worth mentioning that local residents and business community of Nowshera in favour of their demand for district are on strike since last a week and continuously holding demonstrations.
Today hundred of members of Vyapar Mandal followed by locals blocked the highway and protested against state government for not sanctioning Additional Deputy Commissioner post for Nowshera, which is also one of the main demands.
People also accused local BJP MLA Ravinder Raina for not supporting the genuine demand of the area.
