Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that the trend of destroying statues across the country runs against the idea of India.
In a tweet after having witnessed the reports the destruction of the statue of Russian political theorist Vladmir Lenin who inspired Communism and led Russia in the early twentieth Century in Tripura followed by retaliatory actions in other states, Mehbooba Mufti said, “ This new trend of destroying statues across the country is nothing short of outright hooliganism”
“ Vandalism of all kinds is against the law and actually aimed at hurting the very ide of India.”
