Srinagar, May 28:
A minor girl of Budgam was allegedly raped in Budgam district.
Today one person namely Abdul Ahad Bhat resident of Yarikhan, Khan Sahab approached Police Station Khan Sahab with a complaint that his minor daughter (name withheld) has been raped by one Mohammad Maqbool Rather (aged 22 years) son of Abdul Ahad Rather resident of village Yarikhah Khan Sahab.
Police has taken the cognizance of the case and accordingly medical examination of the minor girl was conducted which confirmed the rape of the victim.
The accused has been identified and is still at large. The hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
In this regard, a case under relevant provisions of the law has been registered and investigation is going on.
