Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of National Conference and Congress today staged walkout from the House on the various issues concerning Power.
The oppositiom members raised issue of unscheduled power cuts in Kashmir and also said that in last three years government has only assured but not done anything to streamline the power system.
However, Deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh, who is also Power Minister replied written statements and also on the supplimentaries of the members, but they were not satisfied with the replies of minister.
NC MLAs Ali Mohammad Sagar said that there is acute shortage of electricity in entire Kashmir Valley, while Congress MLA GM Saroori said that in erstwhile the situation is also worst and unscheduled power cuts are on.
Following this, MLA Congress Vikar Rasool and Usman Majid also asked queries on Power, but not statisfied with reply. NC member Altaf Kaloo also raised power issue.
CPI MLA MY Tarigami also had question on Power, but also not satisfied with the govt’s reply.
Later, NC MLAs Ali Mohd Sagar, Altaf Kaloo, Congress MLAs Usman Majid, Vikar Rasool also staged walkout from the house.
