Jammu, Feb 05: PDP, major coalition partner in the state government and opposition NC-Congress joined hands for resolution of peace and talks with Pakistan to bring peace at borders.
PDP completely sidelined the demand of BJP inside the J&K Assembly today when Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, AR Veeri said that situation at borders is too tense and state government wants to follow former PM Vajpayee’s doctorine of peace talks over border situation.
However, BJP MLAs strongly raised and demanded ‘condemnation resolution’ against Pakistan, but NC-Congress not supported them and even its own coalition partner in J&K sidelined their demand and joined hands with opposition.
Even, NC MLA Devender Rana said that if BJP is really serious on their demand. “They are having BJP Governments in Centre and State, so they have to bring resolution against Pak through CM Mehbooba Mufti, who is leader of the House,” Rana said.
Then, PDP MLA from Baramulla, Javed Beigh said, “There is only one solution of this problem and that is to follow former PM Vajpayee’s initiative of talks.”
Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition, Omar Abdullah also said that he is agreed with Verri that talks should be initiated and only viable solution to bring peace on borders. “A demand over this should be go from this House that ceasefire will be seriously execute,” Omar added.
