Protest held against politicisation of Asifa rape and murder case

Cutting across political lines or religion protests were held in Poonch against gruesome rape and murder of 8-year-old girl in Kathua.
People from all communities gathered at parade ground Poonch to show an example of harmony to communal forces trying to divide people on basis of religion and shielding beastly act of criminals.
Imtiaz Salaria while speaking lamented that those forces which should have shown humanity and sympathy to victim are trying to give religious colours and protecting criminals. He said it is crime against humanity, preplaned conspiracy to evict nomads but the support of few like bar Association and Shadow Organizations of BJP which is part of government is really worrisome and damaging. Criticising government he said that tacit silence of government against the ministers who participated and instigated the crowds is condemned.
It shows that BJP-PDP government lacks coordination when ministers are not echoing the line of government. ……while speaking criticised other opposition parties for not coming forward in support of victims. He demanded that fast track court should be instituted to decide the case or the case should be shifted to neutral place outside the state.
Protestors also demanded that the communal minister like Lal Singh and Chander Prakash Ganga should be sacked immediately in order to prevent further divide in society and restore confidence of public in government.
