KATRA, NOVEMBER 25 – As part of enlarging awareness about the importance of protection of the environment, the Forest Wing of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board organised an on-the-spot painting competition on the theme Environment Conservation at Kidzee School at Katra today. In all, 70 students from class 1st to class 5th participated in the painting competition.

Master Aarav of class 1st was adjudged first, while Miss Manya of class 3rd and Master Ojas of class 2nd stood second and third respectively in the class 1st to class 3rd category. Likewise, in the category from class 4th to class 5th, Miss Ananya Heera of class 4th got first prize and Miss Ronak Sharma of class 5th stood second. The third prize was jointly awarded to Miss Samya of class 4th and Master Yugansh of class 5th.

Mr. Rajinder Singh, Officer on Special Duty, Revenue, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board gave away prizes to the students.

The teachers and a large number of students were present on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the Shrine Board in environment protection.
