JAMMU, OCT. 02: United Public Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, Jammu today celebrated its silver jubilee and Gandhi Jyanti in the school’s playground.
The events were marked by the cultural Dogri Folk songs and dances which were attended by around three thousand people, besides, senior citizens of the locality.
Earlier, Rajni Sharma, Principal of the school welcomed the dignitaries including BSP State President Tersam Khullar, Dr R.R. Khajuria founder members of NGOs namely Samaj Kalian Kendra,Vichar Kranti Manch International and Swera, BJYM youth leader Kulbeer Charak and Ashok Gupta, Chairman of Vimal Public School Bakshi Nagar, Sh. S.C. Gupta Sr. Advocate, J&K High Court, Mr. Javed Retd. AC.
On the occasion lectures on Mahatama Gandhi and Lal Bhadur Shastri were also delivered by the dignitaries. Expressing satisfaction, Dr R. R Khajuria said that the school is inculcating the moral values children which are diminishing somewhere. He also asked the children to follow the path of the Mahata Gandhi ji.
At the culmination of the programme, Sarika Sharma, Secretary of the Management Committee and Pooja member of the Management Committee gave the vote of thanks.
